Eavesdropping on the conversation between my stomach and my brain (my amygdala, in particular, since my frontal lobe seems to cede all executive function when it comes to food)

Papi's
Cuban Sandwich at Papi's. The owner Rey Regalado has a pretty amazing history, having escaped Castro's Cuba in 1990. The staff at this unpretentious and humble restaurant are really cool, and they serve up a mean mojito to go along with that delicious Cuban sandwich you see below. The bread is lightly toasted with a generous amount of butter, and there's a magic garlic lemon cream sauce on the side that you can ask for.
